TV VET Joe Inglis, a long-term supporter of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, completed his latest challenge for the national charity at their annual Summer Fayre on Sunday: sitting in a bath of wet dog food for five hours! Joe, who has previously walked 100 miles from the Cotswolds to London eating nothing but dog food (in 2006) and rowed down the Thames in a dog bowl (in 2007) for the cause, invited visitors to the fayre to pour into the bath packets of his own brand - Joe & Jack’s natural dog food. Summer Fayre coordinator Ruth Dunkin said: ‘People paid £1 for the privilege of adding to Joe’s unusual bath! After 5 hours, Joe was sitting in more than 200 packets of wet dog food. He was very popular with our doggy visitors!’ The hundreds of dogs who attended were delighted when Joe finished his challenge as so much Joe & Jack’s dog food was on the menu! Joe said: ‘I’ve done some weird and wonderful challenges for Hearing Dogs in the past but I think this was possibly the silliest yet! But at least I know my dog food is made of top quality ingredients!’ Joe made over £200 for the Charity on the day - you can still sponsor him at: http://www.justgiving.com/joeandjack. The final total for takings at the 2009 Summer Fayre is in excess of £11,000.
