BEST IN SHOW – THE WORLD OF SHOW DOGS AND SHOW DOGS
by Bo Bengston

Best in Show

Bo Bengtson's spectacular new book is the first one ever published to deal comprehensively with all aspects of the international sport of showing dogs. Its 656 pages, illustrated with more than 700 photographs, represents his greatest contribution to dogs in his fifty years in the sport.

This is far more than just a book about dog shows: it tells the history of purebred dogs as never before. Its brilliant prose complimented with stunning photographs spanning more than a century.

It includes the first data compilation of all the top dogs in the United States and United Kingdom each year and explains what judges are looking for, how to become a handler and the breeder's role. It also spotlights the most successful judges, handlers and breeders and discusses why some breeds win and others don't. A must for all dog show enthusiasts!

European Dog Show 2008

Dear Prospective Exhibitors and Guests of the European Dog Show 2008,

András KorózsI hereby would like to inform you that, as opposed to various rumours, there is no change in the schedule of the FCI European Dog Show 2008 to be held on 3rd, 4th and 5th October in Budapest.

The hostile campaign was led by a small group of Hungarian FCI dissidents to sabotage the exhibition.

I would like to once again confirm that the organization of the European Dog Show 2008 is proceeding very well; there is already a huge interest from exhibitors, guests and trade companies.

I promise you that The European Dog Show 2008 will be one of the greatest dog exhibitions of the decade.

Yours sincerely
András Korózs
President of the Hungarian Kennel Club
